SERMES Collaborates with Analog Devices to Accelerate Growth in Smart Motor Sensor Market

ADI OtoSense SMS Enhances Productivity and Efficiency by Turning Sensing Data into Actionable Insights

20th, February 2023 - Strasbourg, France - SERMES announced today it had signed a Channel Partner Agreement with Analog Devices, Inc (ADI). Through the agreement, SERMES will drive sales and enhance support initiatives for ADI OtoSense ™ SMS, Analog Devices’ Predictive Maintenance Smart Motor Sensor (SMS), in France. ADI OtoSense SMS is an AI-based, complete turnkey hardware and software solution for condition-based monitoring (CbM) of electric motors.

As companies strive to optimize their manufacturing and production operations, they seek better control and monitoring of various assets, including motors. ADI OtoSense SMS detects motor anomalies and defects, enabling the ability to forecast maintenance cycles and avoid unplanned downtime. As a result, companies can increase machinery productivity, reduce downtime and maintenance costs, and extend asset lifecycles.

“We are delighted to partner with SERMES to bring our award winning OtoSense SMS solution to market and enabling more users to transform their manufactuiring operations” said Nicholas Holland, Senior Director Industrial Automation at Analog Devices. “We are committed to supporting our partners and end-users with the best-in-industry innovation and domain expertise to drive differentiation and deliver better outcomes.”

SERMES will leverage its relationship with its partner network of customers specialized in motor maintenance as well as its staff of sales and support personnel across the country to accelerate the adoption of the ADI OtoSense SMS.

François Steinmetz explains the rationale for entering this market: “With sixty years of experience in servicing the AC Motor market, we are ideally positioned to promote and implement the productivity gains enabled by IoT devices such as the Smart Motor Sensor for condition-based monitoring of electric motors. As industry harnesses the power of Industry 4.0, we look forward to bringing this crucial technological development to industry,” he said.
